2. Japan (9 people)
3. Singapore (7 people)
4. Hong Kong (5 people)
5. Malaysia (4 people)
6. China (3 people)
7. Indonesia (2 people)
8. Philippines (2 people)
9. Thailand (2 people)
10. Korea (1 person)
11. Vietnam (1 person)
Check out the list here and find out who’s at the top of Twitter in Asia.

No coincidence perhaps that the majority of these twitterers have almost identical numbers of followers and following. suggests some folk with far too much time on their hands, chasing numbers via twitter spam. quite sad really.
for those aged 18 or under (a far few of this top 50), this is understandable to an extent, but some of these folk are grown men (and women) for goodness sake.
I wonder what is the end game of this very desperate pursuit of numbers. to say “look how popular I am”? (you’re not – see below for comparison with someone who is genuinely popular) or to say ‘look how unpopular I am, I have to spam people to make them ackowledge me”? (very likely true)
(For comparison, Shaquille O’Neal has 1.4 million followers and follows just over 500.)
BTW, interesting new blog
Hi. I like the way you write. Will you post some more articles?
Interesting list. The question is why they’re being followed in the first place?

Nice stats but I need to know most followed users.
